But that doesn't mean that there aren't any worthy Navy inductees into the Tina Yothers Sports Rapist Hall of Fame.
Meet Kenny Ray Morrision:

Prosecutors say neither woman consented to sex with him.We've already learned that Sports Rapists can't get away with the crime in high school. Future inductees of the SRHoF will demonstrate that the most surefire way to rape without consequence is to be a millionaire pro athlete. For those in the Navy, the only way to get away with sexual misconduct is to do it as part of a recruiting and retention seminar (old-school reference!) or be a Quarterback.

Both of Morrison’s accusers testified at a November Article 32 hearing. One woman said she repeatedly told Morrison she did not want to have sex during three encounters in the same hotel room. She said she was too weak to resist by force.“I remember putting my hand between my legs,” she said. “I continued to say, ‘No, I can’t do this.’ He said, ‘No, it’s OK.’”
The other said she woke up naked and in pain next to Morrison. She testified that she does not remember a significant chunk of the night, but said she was not attracted to Morrison, did not know him, and felt disgusted the next morning.
Morrison is currently serving a two year sentence after being convicted of indecent assault and conduct unbecoming an officer. Raymond McCaffrey of the Washington Post tells us that:
Before his sentencing at Washington Navy Yard, the former linebacker emotionally read an unsworn statement during which, between sniffles, he took a measure of responsibility, saying: "I put myself in this situation." He offered direct apologies to his family and those connected with the Naval Academy, but he made no reference to his accusers or his crime.
"I'm sorry," Morrison said. "I never really meant to hurt anyone."
That gentle desire not to hurt anyone probably explains the GHB. He's really a tender, considerate involuntary lover, ladies.
Kenny Ray, you're lucky that Tina accepts you into the SRHoF. Because Lou Gossett, Jr. would NEVER approve of you.

Your information is so misrepresentational it is unbelievable. I am his mother and I think your statements are so clueless. His accuser the night of the so called "incident" had already asked one of the football players to stay with her when he walked her back to the hotel. He chose not to stay with her as she had previously been trying to get together with him. She spent an entire night in a room with third person there and never did she once ask anyone to help her. There are witnesses that heard her giggling. She got up in the night to go to the bathroom with another roomful of kids in the other room and never asked for assistance of any kind. During the night someone entered the bedroom to retrieve their luggage and she did not as much as vocalize a word. Through DNA evidence the military proved that the night before she was with my son she had sex with someone else and either against academy rules on the campus or she had violated her privileges and had left campus to have sex with another midshipmen. She was granted immunity having broken the academy's rules for underage drinking and the rules related to her presence or lack of presence when she was intimate with the other person. The Academy had an agenda and the jury members were so biased that a jury member came the day after his sentence to say that he felt there was jury irregularity, bias and lack of the jury following the judges instructions. The so called victim was not held accountable for her behaviors and graduated as if she had done nothing. As regards your implication about GHB the government's two drug experts found NO GHB at all. In fact it found that in a period in which my son was not in contact with her there was evidence of recreational drugs by her. This was from the governmen'ts own witnesses. My son's emotion was for his Academy that he loved, his friends and family. He could have taken a plea but chose to fight as he was innocent. Your flippant and callous remarks in no way represent the pain that our family feels. You have no access to any of the facts of the case and so therefore your remarks are baseless and piecemeal based on whatever piece or snippets you pulled together from a few newpaper articles. You might want to save your energy for something that you know. Only two people know what happened and one of them got a free ride for poor decision making. Leave my son and our family alone. To have someone incarcerated for a "he said she said conseual event is unbearable."

The tortured and callous thoughts defending Mr. Morrison in the comments show everything that is wrong with this country. Complete lack of responsibility and the sloppy self-serving "logic" to go with it.
I guess "no means no" is too complicated a concept for some people.
did anyone bother read the mother's post? By her account the idea that the alleged victim said "no" at all is up for speculation. Remember the Duke lacrosse team?

I'm also glad Tina Yothers Sports let us all us reopen this case. I know I would want my family member's fate up for debate by a panel that included nappy, ioannis, ty and alex. When will the jury finish deliberating?

For the two of you that said my son was a rapist. You missed the entire point. She didn't say "no" she said yes. Both of them including my son made poor decisions but both made the poor decision. So you can continue to opine about what you think you know or what you thought you read but you weren't there, you weren't in court and you do not know the facts and never will. Leave my son alone. Maybe you should spend some energy wondering why she didn't take responsibility for her own actions and got a free ride on her sexual misbehavior and breaking the Academy rules. The pendulum has swung too far the other way. So continue to chat, rap and blog but that won't change the story. Spend your time on something other than two families tragedies.

I am the sister of Kenny Ray morrison and yes that is my mother who wrote the blog. Michelle Williams is a liar she broke numerous academy rules and walked free. My brother asked her if he could kiss her. SHE SAID YES then she asked him if he had a condom!! She said this in court!! So for all of you who think you know the facts you don't. You only know what the navy wanted you to know. Also her best friend was in the bed next to them!!

Doesn’t Kenny Ray’s mother share some of the blame for naming her son Kenny Ray? I mean, it’s technically a better choice than Kenny Earl or Kenny Wayne, but Ray as a middle name ranks at least third in the pantheon of middle names which should not be used. Who sounds more guilty, Kenneth Morrison or Kenny Ray Morrison?
nobody should be using their middle names at all as regular identifiers...it almost always ends badly. Maybe all of the stories about Lee Oswald, John Booth, and John Gacy were misrepresentational, but nobody questions them because they used middle names.
I am all confused. She said he could kiss her so the sex was consensual? And she broke Academy rules and WALKED FREE! What rules? Staying out late, leaving campus, thinking no meant no (how silly of her). However, if this is the case then they should put in the brig or make her walk the plank (common Navy punishment - trust me - I am an have a card I picked up at Stuckey's that says I am an Admiral and they teach us this stuff).

Well for all of you who want to beat up on his family for defending him you can now beat up on me. I am no part of the family but was a very good friend of Kenny's for almost a year before his conviction. He was always nothing but a gentleman to me. He is a great man and someone who would never hurt anyone intentionally. I am sorry that all the people who dont know him as a person are so quick to judge him. I wonder if you would be so cruel if it were your brother, father or son that was innocent and had to spend time in prison. Lets worry about the criminals we let out over and over again that ARE GUILTY. No instead we have someone that could be a productive part of our environment locked away for a farce. It truly makes me sick that people who dont know someone personally have to voice their opinions about people. I dont know the girl who had sex with him so I choose not to give any opinions on her. All I can say is Kenny is innocent. So you all need to back off until you know him as a person and leave his wonderful family alone. And for the person who went on about what his mother named all I can say to you is " get real will you."
