The Politics of Kyle Field

Picture this - you're a Texas A&M season ticket holder and you are eager to take the family out for a nice game against traditional power Miami. Sure, some of the luster is off of this match up, but its still going to be a fun one.

The only question now is what to wear. Do you go with an old "Wrecking Crew" shirt - even though the defense has been in decline for almost a decade? Do you wear a 12th man jersey? A Maroon Out shirt? Maybe that old shirt I wore last Thanksgiving when they beat the 'sips? So many options - maybe I'll check Inspirations, the off campus apparel store, and get something new.

Wait - what's this shirt?

Beat The Hell Outta Obama? Don't mind if I do!

Why, now I can not only support my team, but also show off my political views at the same time! What's not to love?

Shopkeep, I'll take four of these and a "Plantation Owners Know How to Pick 'Em" beer coozy! Yeehaw!

EDITOR: For his sake, let's hope Obama is a mediocre Big 12, ACC or Sun Belt team. That way the Aggies will pose no real threat to him.

Another A&M post.....

How long have you had season tickets?

I know, it's almost like I have a degree from there or something.

Somebody at Kyle Field has to support black people.

"Says the jackass after an Aggie post......"

Even a better place for me to make fun of you fools. How are you going to make fun of a team that is so much better than you that they don't even consider playing you? SMU atleast plays Big 12 teams

Where can I get that T-Shirt?

It is symbolic of everything good about Aggieland...

-It isn't politically correct.

-It recognizes that Obama is so far from what this country needs in a president.

-Aggies support their school and their country, and they understand tradition, values, honor and faithful service.

Chuck - you can get it at Inspirations bookstore at the Post Oak Mall. They sell many different shirts using non-trademarked Aggie lingo.

No matter what you think about Obama, you don't see any irony that the school that pissed its pants over the "Vick em" shirts at Tech a few years ago is now proudly reveling in shirts that say "Beat the Hell Outta Obama?"

I'm probably voting McCain and I'm proud of both of my degrees and always will be, but this just rubbed me the wrong way - especially since his wife and two little kids also wore the same shirt.

I'm not on a soapbox and I love shock humor, but why play into every racist, backwoods redneck retard stereotype to make a political statement everyone assumes you are making anyway?

So you do have a degree from A&M.....
I realize I'm anonymous but this is the last time you'll ever see me commenting in here.

Sorry that North Texas didn't have the master's program I needed.

Oh wait, no I'm not.

I guess you are way more of a fan though. Enjoy wallowing in BCS envy with the GMG-tards!

SEE!!!! I told you...everything comes back to SMU with you people. Its worse than the local Yalies obsession with the Harvardites.

By the way...Yale has a similar shirt:

"Facilitate the political downfall of U.S. Presidential hopefull Barack Obama all the way to the deepest and most vile rung of the hades described by Dante in his 1310 a.d. work 'The Divine Comedy' through means of physical force generated by the pendulum effect of ones swinging leg."

The only real difference is the color...and font size.

Wow... Look at all these responses.

You'd think this was a slanderous article about Lance Armstrong or something!

Quick question for Mr. Aggie. What has happened to Javorski lane?

TY said...

Javorski was moved to fullback and then fell into the doghouse because he wasn't blocking well.

He came in last week on the last drive and sealed the win by carrying dudes around the field for a few carries. They are hoping this means he'll have a role again for the rest of the year.
